Females

Mad River's Mona Lisa di RockHaven

DOB: 10/9/2009
26" at the withers & 118lbs
Dam: Scandifio's Tia di Mad River
Sire:  Nitro VDL

Mona is our worker of bunch.  She prides herself on being very smart, serious, and fabulous.    She has loved to track and hold on to the bite pillow since a young girl.  She is aloof to strangers---doesn't give them the time of day, but is lovable to close friends.  (Sometimes I feel that due to being in California, she has missed her calling as a "catch dog" for hog hunting.) She has prey drive, determination, and unmatched loyalty.

Mona is thick with lots of bone.  She had very fluid movement, nice angulation and a beautiful head.

Scandifio's Tia di Mad River
 (now at RockHaven!)

DOB: 12/27/2006
25.5" at the withers & 115-120lbs
Dam: Tori Kriglowitz
Sire: Scandifio's Nino II

Tia is probably one of the best producers in the breed today.  She has produced females that have been the foundation to several breeders' programs in the US.  RockHaven is very lucky to have Tia for a final litter before her retirement as a pet.

She is an absolute sweetheart!  Despite have been a kennel dog most of her life, we have quickly found that she is most happy snoring on the sofa, sniffing around the yard, or letting her puppies hang on her lips.  She is extremely instinctual in all ways, and the best mother a puppy could ask for.  She truly loves being a mamma! We have even heard her "humming" a pup to sleep, and "making" toys for them!  She has large bone,  fluid movement, and a fantastic temperament.

        RockHaven's Atlas

Atlas is my very first corso. Very intiutive, a smart guard dog, loving, friendly, yet discerning when it comes to strangers.  Being that this was the first dog I had ever "bought" in my life, I was not savvy enough to ask all the right questions of the breeder, and never received any paperwork on her.  Therefore, I never bred one of the greatest corsos I've ever known.  She is now at my parent's house in Indiana keeping my Dad company by snoozing on their sofa and going on evening walks.

Mad River's Lakota di RockHaven

Lakota is my "healer" of the group.  She is very sensitive to people with illnesses or mental disorders.  She even has her own "signal" to indicate when someone has an illness of note.  I have seen her do this with disabled children and even judges in the AKC show ring. It's almost as if she "feels" the problem hones in on it.
She has very solid obedience, and enjoys to work in any fashion.  She loves to play, run fast, and mess with the chickens on the other side of the fence (she doesn't try to eat them, but finds great entertainment in ruffling their feathers!).
